Surien Silva playing in ACL-T20

Surien Silva (a.k.a Surian/Surin Silva) has been selected to represent the Lankan Lions Cricket Team at the Australian Cricket League T20 tournament that will be played at Casey Fields from the 17th to the 24th of December 2023.

Captain of the College 1st XI 

Surien has an illustrious sports career starting as the Captain of the College 1st XI in 2008 and 2009. He took 55 wickets and 400 runs while also playing Rugby in College.

Club Cricket in Sri Lanka

He played club cricket in Sri Lanka representing Saracens Sports Club Premier for two seasons, CC club under 23 for one season and Ragama CC for one year.

Donvale and Lyndale CC

Having moved to Australia, Surien represented Donvale CC in Turf Cricket at the Wright Shield competition in 2013. In his first season with the club, Surien took 36 wickets in six matches including at the semi-final and grand final matches. Surien played for Donvale CC which was a part of the Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) for eight years.

In 2021, Surien moved to Lyndale Cricket Club where he is now captain of Turf 2 team. Lyndale Cricket Club is a part of the Dandenong District Cricket Association (DDCA).

With an impressive cricketing career in Australia for almost 10 years, Surien has taken a total of 425 wickets and scored almost 3,000 runs

Representing Bens OBU Vic

He also puts these talents to good use by representing his Alma Mater at the Lasallian Trophy and the Quadrangular Cricket matches. When it's raining, you can find Surien playing Rugby as he recently represented the OBU Vic at the Touch Rugby 7s.
