Past Teachers Felicitation Dinner

A Night of Warm Reunions and Shared Memories

On May 31st, 2024, a special event occurred at The Village Green Hotel in Mulgrave, Melbourne. The evening, organized by Bens OBU Vic, brought together past St Benedict's College (SBC) students for a heartwarming "Past Teachers Felicitation."

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of:

• Rev. Bro. Granville Perera (Former Director of SBC)

• Rev. Bro. Yohan Soyza (Former Sub Director of SBC)

• Rev. Fr. Malcolm Candappa (Former Teacher of SBC)

• Mr. Dimotious Sir (Former Teacher of SBC)

Visiting Melbourne on personal trips, these distinguished individuals generously agreed to participate in the event, creating an extraordinary occasion.

The evening was filled with laughter and reminiscing as close to 35 past students, young and old, gathered to enjoy dinner and camaraderie with their former teachers. It was a time to reconnect, share memories, and express gratitude for the guidance and support received during their school years. Our past teachers were also acknowledged for their hard work with a commemorative plaque and a gift from the Old Benedictines of Victoria.

The "Past Teachers Felicitation" was a beautiful testament to the enduring bonds between teachers and students. It was a night of heartfelt appreciation and a celebration of the lasting impact these educators have had on the lives of their former pupils.

We sincerely thank the Old Bens for attending this special event and the esteemed guests who made it possible. It was truly a night to cherish!
