St. Benedict’s College, Colombo 13, Sri Lanka was inaugurated in 1865 by the Benedictine Monks and is the oldest Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Colombo. The College has been under the administration of the De La Salle Brothers since 1868, inculcating rich Christian values to the children and the society.

The College provides education to around 2400 students enrolled from Grade 1 to Grade 13 with the local syllabus in English, Sinhala and Tamil mediums. The college maintains a high conduct of Academic and Co-Curricular activities that encourage students to fulfill their careers in an apt way.

The College consists of an ultramodern auditorium, a well-equipped Library, 2 Computer Laboratories, Lecture Hall, Physics, Biology and Chemistry Laboratories, Music & Arts rooms and a Language Center.
The college also provides other facilities such as a state-of-the-art Aquatic Centre with viewing facilities, two basketball courts, of which one could be used for night games, a gymnasium for gymnastics and acrobatics training. The College ground provides facilities for various sports such as Cricket, Rugby, Football, Hockey and Athletics.
